We are looking for someone at the Specialist Level
(which is a level 4, one level below manager) to work with an external
vendor in defining requirements and writing and documenting processes
for one of our Independence Applications.
TRACKING SYSTEM SPECIALIST
The individual in this position will be the responsible for drafting
enhancement requirements for the Global Independence Monitoring
System (GIMS). The individual will work with management, other stakeholders
and Kingland systems to discuss and draft detailed requirements
documents, including future functionality descriptions and mock
print screens, to communicate how the functionality of the system
will change with the implementation of the requirement.
The GIMS Specialist will be responsible for organizing sessions
to discuss the functionality and see them through successful completion.
Responsibilities will also include developing and maintaining test
scripts for new and existing functionality, coordinating test efforts
of the application prior to the installation of new releases, service
packs, and patches. In addition, the GIMS Specialist will be responsible
for testing all new and existing functionality and to help determine
whether a release, service pack, or patch is to be installed in
the production environment.
Furthermore, the GIMS Specialist will assist with the development
of a legal attachment to the vendor master services agreement which
will describe the new functionality to be implemented.
The individual will report to the GIMS Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop GIMS requirements documents to be handed to the vendor:
Organize requirements definition sessions with management
Participate in business requirement design sessions, and
capture the discussed design in formal business requirement documentation
Develop, review, and edit functional specifications, based
on in depth understanding of business requirements including
development of screen flows, screen mock-ups, and on-screen guidance
Contribute ideas to the enhancement of GIMS functionality
and participate in the review of requirements documents.
Discuss requirements documents with the vendor and other
stakeholders
Monitoring the vendor hours spent to develop the enhancements
Develop attachments to the vendor legal agreement covering
the functionality
Update process documentation to reflect the new enhancements
Monitor system issues and their resolution:
Ensure system issues are logged with the vendor
Monitor issues logged by other customers and the vendor
Ensure issues are resolved on a timely basis
Manage the testing of new and existing application functionality
before the installation of new releases, service packs, and patches,
including the development of test scripts, test cases, and test
data as well as, organization of resources, logistical coordination
of testing, and conducting the actual tests.
Preparation and ownership of status reports, issues logs and other
documents required to support specific project activities (e.g.
PowerPoint slides to support system functionality discussions, training,
etc.).
Assist in the roll-out of new functionality to other member firms,
including drafting documentation, sample processes, sample communications,
and ad-hoc training.
Manage the screen content in GIMS such as the text presented to
end-users and the documents posted in GIMS. Ensure that the content
is updated periodically and before releases. Help member firm managing
their own language assignment by highlighting necessary changes
to be made.
Manage special assignments in conjunction with all aspects of the
GIMS Product teams responsibilities, including data validation
projects, training and updating of global coordinators and administrators,
and other activities to ensure the completeness and accuracy of
systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
Detailed oriented, strong analytical, and organizational
skills
Demonstrated initiative and good judgment
Demonstrated expertise in the activities related to the development
and deployment of automated systems. Experience with the development
cycle; from requirements definition, to testing, to roll-out
Solid verbal and written communication, organizational, analytical
and interpersonal skills
Excellent documentation skills, including creation of mock-up
print-screens and process flows
Customer service attitude and dedication to quality
Proven ability to manage upward and to prioritize time required
on activities
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic work environment
where priorities can quickly change
Experience managing defined deadlines and prioritizing time
required on activities - effective time management skills
Understanding of Independence requirements for professional
auditing firms a plus
Highly skilled in standard office-productivity tools (Word,
Powerpoint, Excel, and Visio)
4 year College Degree
