Seeking a Director of Information Technology with:
• Significant background experience serving as a Director of IT in a healthcare organization/hospital or significant related experience
• Supervisory experience and strong communication, organizational and management and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of current healthcare requirements and trends
• Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Computer Science or relevant field
• Master’s degree preferred but not required.
• Professional Certifications are a plus

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the entire information technology and telecommunications functions of the organization with an overall budget of $1.2 million and 13 staff
• Manage and oversee IT processes including: system applications, training, system maintenance and recovery, back-up, security, new system implementation and interfaces
• Acts as HIPPA Compliance officer for the organization
• Oversee technical aspects of the organization’s website
• Responsible for oversight of various applications including electronic medical record; general ledger, accounts payable and purchase systems; billings systems for nursing home, homecare and adult day care programs; fundraising system; laboratory system; and time and attendance system
• Interact with internal and external stakeholders including department heads, vendors and representatives at other healthcare organizations
• Supervise and actively participate in project-based work. Currently involved in the implementation of billing and care planning software for new managed care business as well as new financial system implementation
• Responsible for IT functions of newly formed managed long term care organization including overseeing the implementation of a care planning system and outsourcing of claims management
• Liaison with other healthcare organizations in building the Health Information Exchange Network
