The Senior Microsoft BI Architect consultant will conduct an analysis and inventory of the Supply Chain reporting system, which needs to be re-architected, and will work with the EDW team to define the target architecture and identify related cost estimates. The architect will work with the Microsoft SQL Server Business Intelligence (version 2005 and 2008) suite of applications – SSAS, SSRS, SSIS, ProClarity, Excel 2007 Services, Sharepoint, etc. – and be able to construct excellent solutions based on appropriate combinations that are consistent with our existing overall architecture and meet business requirements. Candidate must be highly proficient technically, well organized, and eager to learn new tools and techniques. Candidate must be highly motivated and highly productive.

Specific responsibilities include:
• Work closely with members of the Supply Chain reporting team to gain an understanding of their existing reporting architecture, SLA’s, pain points, etc.
• Create an inventory of the various databases, tables, data sources, ETL scripts, reports, exports, etc that are used and/or produced by the Supply Chain reporting environment.
• Document the existing Supply Chain reporting architecture.
• Work with the EDW and Infrastructure teams to define “to-be” architecture and estimate related costs.

Candidate should possess the following specific technical skills:
• 5-7 years of Analysis Services experience, 2-3 years of Analysis Services 2005 or 2008
• 2-3 years of Integration Services experience
• 2-3 years Reporting Services experience
• 5-7 years experience developing user interfaces in a large Data Warehouse environment
• Experience with MS Excel, Access, Access Macros and VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) programming
• Strong SQL skills
• Star Schema modeling a plus
• Experience delivering BI solutions through Sharepoint Server a plus
• Experience with Team Foundation Server a plus

• Experience with implementation and support of data warehouse environments
• Experience with SQL
• Experience with Star Schema modeling a plus
• BA or BS in Computer Science or related area preferred.
